Green Archers at the Forefront: How JG Worldwide and DLSU Are Shaping Marketing Leaders

By Raeneil Inocencio - Copywriter

In a marketing world that’s constantly evolving, JG Worldwide, a leading marketing agency in the Philippines specializing in modern marketing solutions, is shaping the next generation of leaders. Through its impactful internship partnership with De La Salle University (DLSU), JG Worldwide has created a program that goes beyond learning. It's a space where passion meets purpose, and students evolve into future marketing leaders poised to achieve worldwide success.

What makes DLSU Interns Stand out?

The moment DLSU interns walk through the doors of JG Worldwide, they bring something unique to the table. Hardworking, professional, and highly adaptable,  these students embody the values and training instilled by their university.

Josh Dela Rosa, Creative Director and Team Mastermind lead says, "Our DLSU interns are not just skilled—they're proactive and eager to learn. I remember an intern who volunteered for production shoots even though it wasn't part of their assignment. That kind of initiative really shows potential."

This ability to adapt, even to tasks outside their expertise, sets them apart. From diving into video editing to developing fresh ideas for social media, they prove that challenges are opportunities to grow and see every challenge as a chance to learn, evolve, and make their mark.

These interns tackled their research with dedication, laying down the groundwork for strategic service plans that enhanced JG Worldwide’s operations. Their effort reflects the strong analytical skills and creativity that define DLSU students.

Two-Way Learning Experience

For the interns, JG Worldwide offers more than just tasks and deadlines—it's a launchpad for their career aspirations. Tasks such as video editing, brainstorming marketing strategies, and learning to navigate client needs provide valuable insights into modern marketing.

Kyle Uy, a DLSU student intern, reflects on his experience, "This internship has given me a clearer understanding of how advertising works. There's so much effort behind effective strategies, and it's inspired me to pursue a career in this field."

Kyle recalls his first experience editing a client's videos—both intimidating and rewarding. "I had no video editing background, but with the team's guidance, I learned quickly. Seeing the final product was fulfilling because it showed how my efforts contributed to a client's vision."

Beyond professional growth, interns also highlighted the collaborative and welcoming work culture at JG Worldwide. They describe an environment where mentorship plays a pivotal role in their development, making the internship experience even more rewarding.

This group focused on innovative marketing plans, contributing fresh ideas to JG Worldwide’s 360-degree campaigns. Their collaborative spirit and innovative thinking have set a high benchmark for future batches.

Building a Creative Hub

For Gian Rabago, Chief Creative Officer of JG Worldwide, the partnership with DLSU is more than just a recruitment. It’s a cornerstone of the agency’s vision to become a creative hub in the Philippines—a space where emerging talent can showcase their creativity on a global stage.

"This program is still a crucial part of our vision to become a creative hub in the Philippines…giving them the tools to showcase their creativity on a global stage," Gian explains. "It's not just about developing their skills within our company, but about empowering them to grow professionally and make a name for themselves in the industry," he added.

This vision aligns perfectly with DLSU's emphasis on producing well-rounded, industry-ready graduates. Through the program, students gain firsthand exposure to client work, marketing research, and strategic development. In turn, JG Worldwide benefits from their fresh, innovative perspectives—particularly in decoding the ever-evolving Gen Z market.

"They have really helped us dive deep into understanding Gen Z, which is super important right now," Gian adds. "Getting their insights has been crucial for us to stay ahead of the game. Knowing what Gen Z loves, how they think, and what they want the world to look like gives us the marketing power to connect with them on a much deeper level."

For Gian, the partnership is a two-way street. Interns gain hands-on exposure to real-world marketing demands, while JG Worldwide taps into their creativity and adaptability. It's a collaboration that fuels mutual growth and ensures the agency stays at the forefront of modern marketing.

Opening Doors for More Schools

While the partnership with DLSU is thriving, JG Worldwide is eager to extend its internship program to students from other universities across the Philippines.

"We don't see our interns as just interns—we treat them as valuable team members from day one," Gian notes. "So by the time they finish their internship, they're not only ready to take on any creative role but also equipped to tackle brand challenges across different industries," he added.

This inclusive approach demonstrates JG Worldwide's commitment to fostering talent from all regions and backgrounds. By creating a supportive yet challenging environment, the agency ensures that every student—regardless of their background—has the opportunity to learn, grow, and make an impact.

The current batch of interns is still at the early stage of their journey with JG Worldwide. As a fresh batch, they are immersing themselves in ongoing projects and campaigns, learning the ropes, and contributing to the agency’s dynamic environment. Their enthusiasm and willingness to take on new challenges reflect their potential to make a significant impact as their internship progresses.

Bigger Dreams, Bigger Impact

The partnership with DLSU is only the beginning for JG Worldwide. The agency envisions expanding its reach to creative minds from universities all over the country, shaping the future of marketing, one intern at a time.

So, whether you're a Green Archer or hail from another alma mater, JG Worldwide is ready to help turn your  ideas into impactful realities. As DLSU intern Matthew Lim puts it, "Some days are packed, some days are lighter, but I've learned so much from the people I worked with. This experience is something I'll always value."

At JG Worldwide, they're not just building brands. They're building careers, shaping futures, and redefining what internships can be—a transformative journey for the next generation of marketing leaders.
